Job Title : Deputy / Assistant Manager (Operation)

Job Description & Responsibility:

    1)            Supervision of all operations such as

    a.     Un-loading

    b.     Stuffing

    c.     Placement and stacking of containers

    d.     Port operations and its performances

    e.     Removal of empty / laden containers to and from port or ship’s tackle

    f.      Delivery of import laden containers of both on chassis and Un-stuffing Delivery

    2)    Supervision of operations and movement of all equipment including RST, SLT, FLT, Crane, trailer, prime movers and any type of handling equipment. In addition, supervision of any repair and maintenance works of any such equipment in our workshop.

    3)    Responsible for smooth running of all operations, compliance, safety & security, process and procedure of both our company and customers for ensuring proof based operations in order to prevent any sorts of negligence of any individual or team and any claim from the customers.

    4)    Implementation of management decision and sourcing / recruitment of workers / employees for our depot including driver, operator, helper/assistant and supervision of their day-to-day performance.

    5)    Reply to the queries of customers and take part in sales or marketing for promoting company’s business as and when it is required.

    6)    Co-ordinate with all departments such as IT, Admin, Workshop, Equipment, Security, Construction and Maintenance, CFS, CSD for proper functioning also with the Account Department for ensuring collection of all necessary charges.

    7)    Co-ordination with our customers such as MLOs, Freight Forwarders, C&F Agents, Importers, Exporters and different vendors of company including labour contractors in order to ensure adequate and on time supply of labour / workers.

    8)    Taking proper decisions in performing above responsibilities subject to consultation with management and taking further corrective measures

    9)    A part of above shall have to comply with and perform any other responsibilities which to be assigned time to time.

Additional Requirement:

    1)    Ability to work hard, honest, sincere, proactive, self-motivated, energetic and coordinate with higher Management.

    2)    Problem diagnosis and solving ability in operational aspects and knowhow with appropriate knowledge.

    3)    Ability to arrange appropriate contractors, suppliers, workman for assigned job and get the work done ensuring perfect workmanship.

    4)    Computer skills on word processing, spreadsheet, Internet applications and relevant computer programs.

    5)    Moderate writing and oral Communication skills particularly in Bangla and English.

    6)    Proven Experience in performing the said responsibilities.
