VGM (Verified Gross Mass) came into effect on the 1st July

In order to reduce the tangible risk created by mis-declaration of weight to the dock workers, ship and cargo, the amendment of SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) convention is become necessary and VGM (Verified Gross Mass) came into effect on the 1st July, 2016 all over the world. ISPS approved security plan of VOLSL facility

The compliance of VOLSL as Port related Area with the provisions of chapter XI-2 and Part A of the international Code for the security of ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) has been verified and noticed that the facility is being operated in accordance with the approved port related area security plan. On the 27th June 2018, the statement of compliance is revalidated up to the 30th September, 2019 by the Chairman, Designated Authority & Director General, Department of Shipping, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

VOLSL re-validated GSV certified by scoring 97% marks

Intertek’s GSV (Global Security Verification) auditors visited the facility of VOLSL on the 30th November, 2017 for the purpose of revalidation. They audit the facility with the use of their automated auditing tools and the facility was awarded with 96% marks and the facility is now prioritized as Low Risk. On the 19th December, 2017 the GSV certificate is re-validated up to the 18th December, 2018.

The management of VOLSL always fosters their dreams / plans and thereby strives to materialize the same in timely manner. Inaugurated Import Ladne Container Delivery Service

Vertex Off-Dock Logistic Services Ltd has inaugurated its import laden containers delivery service at its dedicated Un-stuffing yard on 15th June, 09. The entire facility is to cater the easiest and fastest delivery of approved imported items irrespective of consignees. A delivery transit shed has already been constructed in the delivery/Un-stuffing yard for smooth continuation of cargo delivery operation even in monsoon or rainy season. The authority has come up with a perfect solution for weighting both inbound and outbound cargo by installing an digital weighing scale of 80 M.ton which will help to ascertain weight of both import and export cargo and thus reconcile with the declaration while delivery and receipt of the cargo to/from consignee / shipper. The delivery of imported cargo from private inland container depots (ICD) has created a new gateway in the business of private ICD of Bangladesh.
